Heading for Isekai Planet with a great deal of Kami-Coins in order to repair their starship, Shio, Kosho, and Shoyu had a (surprise?) encounter with Truck-kun in space. It’s not entirely clear what happened next, so we’ll ignore this murky plot point and move on!

Our heroines awake in a new world, and are greeted by the goddess Aqua (from KonoSuba). The goddess let them know that, not only were they experiencing a new world, it was a whole new reality! Also, 2020 and 2021 seem to have slipped by in a blur… somehow. Aqua tasked Shio and Kosho with destroying the demon king of this new world! Who also happens to run a fast food restaurant? Sure—why not?

We met Maou (from The Devil Is a Part-Timer!), along with Subaru (from Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World), Katarina (from My Next Life as a Villainess), and Rimuru (from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Kosho was ready to take out demon king Maou using the power of darkness. Shio respected Maou’s hustle (did she really “we’re not so different” a demon king?), and wants instead to use the power of love and friendship to depose this demonic regent, taking over herself!

Kami-Con Season 14 would either be Love is War, or Darkness Rises—but with the girls again at odds as to their plan of action, how to choose? Rimuru suggested a series of competitions for the congirls and congoers to participate in, with whichever side won the most competitions getting to choose how to proceed and next year’s theme.

After battling it out in a series of games and challenges, the congoers decided!
